A distant view of Doc Martins surgery. Last time I stayed in Port Isaac it was before the time of the TV series. It will be interesting to see if it has changed at all. I loved the village for its steep narrow winding streets, the fishing harbour with crab pots , the cornish pasties, clifftop walks and the local pub of course. In June I will be going to Cornwall but staying in Fowey - it's a lot flatter.

So beautiful and I am very envious! The water looks amazing. I look forward to reading your blog and getting soppy and nostalgic...
Welcome to the program

Your mention of Fowey took me back to 1970 when my parents rented a house in Rock on the northern coast of Cornwall. We made a day trip to Fowey and I remember that we purchased a wonderful wall chart of sailing ships and various shipping knots. Unfortunately the chart was lost in the 1983 fires. I recommend a trip to Rock.
